Not for me. He couldn't have. How desperate I felt back then. He gave his life for me, for my little being. I know how much he loved me now. But at what price was that information?? I didn't need it ! I know he loved me more than I ever did. I remember kneeling by his side, crying. Crying all the pain that was stuck inside me, and I feared I could never let go . I never cried so much for something that important to me. And I never will I guess. I tried to cover the wound with my hands even though I knew I couldn't do anything to save him. The last thing he did was look into my eyes. Then told me : " Never forget that I love you. "
That was the last time I ever saw his mahogany eyes. A smile drew on his face before fading away.
His grip on my hand weakened by the second to be completely loose. I ceased trying to stop the blood from coming out. Then took his head and buried it in my arms and chest. I couldn't let go. Not him.
Slight rain started to fall on us, then hard. No-one had the possibility to see us. I could feel the chilly wind on my wet skin. My shirt was already soaked. Not from rain, but from tears.
